FACING GIANTS

Updated: Dec 3, 2020

Lately God has brought many people in my life who do not know Him and I feel so privileged and honored that He chooses to use me. I just know He is giving me the seeds to plant and He will water them.

But I have to say that nothing hurts my heart more than hearing someone say they’re a true atheist. And then to hear about all the “Giants” they face. It’s sad to me because I know the difference between facing “Giants” without God in your life and facing them with Him.

Three things are true about giants:

1) Giants don’t surrender, you’ve got to take them out

2) Giants see you the way you see you

3) Giants are not giants compared to God

Compared to you that disease is overwhelming. Maybe that financial struggle is so big that you can not even imagine getting through it. Or your relationship seems beyond repair. But with God, giants are not so giant.

Casting Crowns song “Voice of Truth” says

The giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me reminding me of all the times I tried before and failed...the giants keep on telling me time and time again,"Boy, you'll never win"

But the stone was just the right size to put the giant on the ground and the waves they don't seem so high from on top of them lookin' down. I will soar with the wings of eagles when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus singing over me

If you do not know God, it seems impossible to understand this. Coming from someone who did not know Him for most of my life, the difference is worth seeking. The end result is not 'never having giants', but facing those giants with His armor and His confidence to 'take them out'.

Gaining all the equipment we need starts first by simply seeking.
